I just bought a new to me 2016 ram 1500 with 5.7 a few months ago. Driving to work this morning the check engine light came on. My code reader said P0600. Serial communication link malfunction. I was driving on highway 68 mph. It ran fine until I got to a stoplight. As I'm sitting there the engine coughs and acts like it's going to stall. The computer kicked it into neutral. I turned the dial to park and drive again and it drove perfectly normal. It drove fine on the way home tonight as well. Has anyone had this code before and what was the fix?
