So, after calling FCA and getting them involved yesterday, the dealership quickly changed their tune. The gentleman from FCA called me back 1/2hr after I originally spoke with him saying he spoke with the service manager, and the service manager said he had never seen anything like these issues before, and he was going to try and push it through warranty one more time and if that didn't work, he was going to go after the sales department to get the funds out of them , and that they were going to fix the dinged oil pan, the ding in the rear panel, the wrong tailgate colour and I wouldn't have to pay a cent and they wanted to make me a happy customer. Funny how when I called, the service manager told me all I was getting was my lightbulb fixed, and I had to take up the other issues with the sales manager. The sales manager then got back to me saying they did their investigation and it wasn't a problem on their end and I was basically out of luck. That sure makes them look guilty of something to fold so quickly??
Sales manager finally contacted me 5 minutes ago, telling me the ding guy is there now to fixing the body and they are going to pay to have the tailgate repainted (which is not what I would have hoped for, rather a new factory painted tailgate on my BRAND NEW truck..but better solution then what I was getting before!!) Part of me still feels I should be fighting for a new tailgate, but that seems like a for sure lost battle...
