Paint defect?

Can anyone help identify what is going on here? Coming up to a year old and i noticed this defect.

i am wondering is this is overspray from another job in the bodyshop? My truck needed repair work in the fall.

Is it under or on top of the clearcoat?

Have you tried using a claybar to remove it?

I agree it might be overspray from another body shop job....maybe ask them if they can help take care of it, but I would try claybar first, myself.

just looked up Claybar. maybe i will try on a small portion before I go back to the body shop.

Shouldn't be too hard to remove then. Can you lift it off with your fingernail? Claybar should work.

tried to use my fingernail and no, it was not coming off.

I will get Ckaybar this week and guve it a try.
