Has anyone had there truck repainted on RCSB? Im wanting my truck back to the original black instead of the dark blue it is now. just trying to get a feel of what it would cost.
Depends on the location...if you want a single stage or base coat clear coat...Some chain shops like Maaco, can do a single stage enamel for around $400, but don't look to get many years out of the finish. A solid base coat/clear coat, using quality PPG paints, can go over $3,000, depending on the painter.
Looks like a fairly wide range. Lol I'm limited on shops as I don't live in a large city with choices but I'm sure I can get decent paint job close by. Not sure why it was painted a diff color in the first place.
My buddy had his 2002 quad cab painted from Maaco, in a base coat clear coat...had it painted bright silver and black...it was about $1600 after all is said and done. I wouldn't even consider a single stage...BC/CC is the way to go and like I said, with a quality paint.
If you live in a bigger city and there is competition you might get it for 3-4k for a decent job. Out where I am, there are only a couple places worth a **** in the whole state, and they know it. I went in to find out about respraying my '99 R/T (Mind you, no body work at all, just scub and paint it properly) and they quoted me almost $7k!
You Guys are Fortunate. With the new Body shop estimate Computerized system up here in Canada coupled with the new Waterbased Paint Only and 100-120 an Hour Labour Charges, Painting a Quadcab is anywhere between 5 and 8 K.
