Today I pulled my new 2013 RamCC into the "FireHall" and gave it a nice bath before installing some splash guards...when it was dry one of the boys said.."whats all over your hood?"..I thought hmm tree sap..got some more soapy water ..nothing..tried some bug and tar remover..nothing..tried some vinagar..nothing...picked at it..nothing..you cant even really feel it with your finger...looked up on roof..same type of spots...seems to be in clear coat? It is just the hood and roof...the front fenders while not being flat like the hood or roof have nothing on them, just the hood and roof..paint is Western Brown Pearl(PEP) , am I experincing what I have been reading about here and other sites of the inferior paint quality? I hope not...going to dealer tomorrow...it has 1850kms on it (1149miles)..picked up after dinner 2 weeks ago...and havent really had any bright sunny days to have a good look..fluorescent lights inside really open up my eyes...

If it's not on the surface, sounds like shoddy paint like many others have experienced.

I've got a Flame Red reg cab Xpress...found a couple spots on the hood. Just got it back today from dealer.

Though I was pi..ed, the customer service at my dealer was awesome. Repainted hood, had a loaner for the week...no issues.

All is well. was reassured that if I found anything else, they would take care of it....and I'm picky

Dropped off the Truck this morning-25c morning...was given a Loner..I have been told pics were sent to HQ and they say go ahead fix it...my dealer has no onsite body facilities so they have sent it off site... they think a wet sand and buff...we will see...

Picked up the truck today just after lunch...looks good..better than original..I was told it was wet sanded and re clear coated..hood and roof both..only complaint..compound dust on door sills from doing roof..and truck stayed clean for maybe 6kms..grrr..winter

Have them remove it cause it will take forever to get that stuff off any plastic.
