2021 Ram 5.7 with 55,000 miles. Been a great truck so far. I heard "the tick" and started smelling exhaust fumes so took it to the dealer for a check. Came up with a cracked passenger side manifold which is schedule for replacement under warranty. They would not change out the drivers side under warranty since their inspection found nothing wrong currently with that side. My question; should I simply part with the (approximate) 700.00 and have the drivers side replaced while they're completing the passenger side work? Or should I at least have them check the drivers side manifold bolts while they are doing the other work? Or simply wait for the drivers side manifold to go and deal with it then? What would you do? Thanks for weighing-in on this subject.

I'm a firm believer that if it isn't broke don't fix it, so I would wait on replacing the driver's side manifold. You may not ever have problems with it. That being said it wouldn't hurt to get them to check the bolts while replacing the passenger one.
