PCM Unlock

Im new to the ram platform i've got a 2017 ram rt and i'm looking to get the pcm unlocked are there any reliable shops around the Phoenix or Maricopa area.

Your best bet is to send it to HP Tuners to be unlocked. They do it everyday and provide a quality service.

Do you have a tuner lined up to tune the truck? If so, what platform are they using to tune with? HP Tuners, Diablo CMR, etc.?

Ive been looking around for some tuners in my area and am having little luck. I probably am just searching in the wrong spots. As for the unlock since it is my daily driver my best choice would probably be to purchase one from them instead of them unlocking my current one correct? As of right now I am trying to plan out what I want for the truck and if I even want to build it or wait and get something that is more proven.

Pick up one in a junk yard or on ebay that will work on your truck. Use that one for the unlock.
I got one off ebay for $65 and used that for the unlock core. I still have my known good original PCM on a shelf in the garage, just incase.

I would guess the HPT file stands for "HP Tuners" file. The other one, no idea

I'm sorta doing same thing, gonna buy a new PCM from HPTuners, and I am also wondering what those two acronyms mean...............
