Does the huge increase in throttle response allow the tires to spin out more easily? Wondering if it will make the traction control engage more often

The increase doesn't have to be huge. There are settings from mild to wild. The wild will break the tires loose and yes traction control will kick in. If you set it mid-range, it will simply make the truck more drivable, with a quicker throttle response.

The traction control will engage if the tires spin. You can shut it off somewhat from what I read in this forum. Also it depends on how aggressive a setting you set the PC to. I like it for faster response while on the highway, not so much for going from stopped at a light to 60 mph before I'm through the intersection.

Yeah I have a traction control button that shows it "off" but it still kicks in when they spin a little bit

For me, I found that I like the throttle response in reg Sport mode and a +1 setting. Then I adapted how I drive too it. Especially from a dead stop. It does put a lil smile on your face. Then when you uninstall for a dealer visit and its stock is when you truly realize how much lag and laziness there is.
I utilize the bluetooth feature so mine is secured up under the deadspace under the HVAC controls hidden. I disconnect the pedal plug and tuck away for the dealer visit. Otherwise after I found the setting I liked, I have only changed settings for weather(ice, snow)occasionally. Works for me.

My only complaint with the PC is the velcro doesn't stick to the dash. And yes, I cleaned it with the alcohol wipe that came with it first. I even bought extra strong velcro from Home Depot and that falls off too.

I also had this issue on install in 2017.
Use this.
Wipe clean with alcohol wipes, wipe this on and it wont ever move until you want it to!!
I used the original velcro, still attatched

I am also on the fence about getting a PC. I like the idea behind it, but have a couple questions.

Does the Bluetooth function have to be used? Or can it be adjusted on the unit itself? (I'm one of those people who hate adding apps to their phone.)

Does a device with the Bluetooth app have to be near by? Or will it remember the last setting?

And lastly, if my wife were to drive the truck, what is easiest way to get back to the stock truck performance? Remove the PC, or is there is a setting that on the PC that basically makes no change?

1. Manual buttons on the unit work in conjunction with bluetooth. You can use either or.
2. Remembers the last setting. Stays on it until you change it again
3. Has an on/off button on bluetooth, off is stock.

Well said, that is all accurate info!

Anytime. I can honestly say that if I were limited to only 1 mod, this would be the one. It is hands down a gamechanger for putting some fun in the truck and I have never even tried the higher level SportPlus settings. Just if you buy it, do it through Nick or Matt. They help us members out with a bunch of free advice, good pricing and great support. I have returned items to both of them and never given me any runaround or delays. Class Acts.

I've decided I'm going to get one, just not sure when. Ive spent a bit of money already on other mods (which get installed next week), so I might let the bank account rest for a bit.

I've already worked with Nick, but have not worked with Matt. I've read many good things about both here on the forums, so I definitely wouldn't go anywhere else to make a purchase.

I've had one and I'm using mine for both fun and economy. I took a couple 3hr trips from Raleigh to CHarlotte, all interstate, and did one with normal driving and one with eco (-4 or whatever the lowest setting is) and noticed I went from 17.4 mpg with it normal on the first trip to 20.8 in eco mode on the second (never thought I would be close to 21mpg with 3.23 gears, 3" lift and A/T tires). This is going 1/3 of the trip at 60-65mph and 2/3 at 80mph. Around town, its in city plus/sport and economy is out the window; all about fun lol.

I played around yesterday and put it in the higher Sport+ settings....With TC off it is not recommended for meeting the mileage expectations of my tires....Wow. Backed out of the space at the grocery store, put it in D, applied throttle lightly left $4.75 worth of Falken rubber in the lot...oops. It was like my truck had done a hit of Steroids/**** combo...Angry Ram. Thats a bit much, more for a dragstrip that my truck will never see...back to Sport, +1 where it is happy.
