I fought this too with my SLT. I didnt want to spend the money on a bumper. though I really love the factory cutouts. In the end it was a gametime decision at my exhaust shop...between both duals dumping out behind passenger rear wheel or one out of each side, angled down. Went with the latter. I get some reverb off the pavement, but it sounds great to me. Theres also something to be said for “custom” too. Dare to be different!

This is my current setup, dump right after thr muffler (22" Magnaflow 5x11).

It does resonate a little in the cab on cold start, but it quiet down after, it quiet down so much that I'm looking at going back to my 18" Magnaflow (5x8) lol31b47729ec76ad649f1469d49c05cefa.jpg

This is mine before and after acquiring the correct bumper.

Really didn't want to start a new thread for this but none of the others I found were specific enough and I only saw pictures of one guy who tried this...

Looking for pictures and feedback on guys who have run a dual exhaust under their rear bumper, aiming straight out the back, without the factory bumper cutouts. I just picked up a 2018 Express Hemi and it has this type of bumper and I'm curious if it would look like crap or not.

I've been in touch with Corsa and even emailed them pictures of my truck, showing that the hangers are on the passenger side already. I've talked to Magnaflow as well but not a huge fan of the tips on their system and they didn't think different tips would work.

So has anyone out there done this, regardless of system, custom ones included?

To be clear, I've seen enough pictures of "hidden" exhausts with rear bumper turndowns, and I've also seen side exit exhaust, both single and dual. I don't need pictures of those.

Thanks in advance.

Set it up like this, not sure if you consider this a "rear bumper turn down". IMO this is the only way you can run this setup and it not look tacky without the cutout bumper.

I installed the factory dual exhaust and ran the bumper without cutouts for a few months. Here's a pic right before I swapped out the bumper in May and another pic just after.

I ended up getting a mufflex setup and custom tailpipe at their shop. Just wasn't feeling the under-bumper look and didn't want to buy another bumper. I really like my setup. It's hidden and sounds great.

Here's mine. While I'd like to get the cut out bumper it's not in the budget right now. If the bumper was chrome it'd be easy to find a replacement, but it's painted a metallic black and they're impossible to find around here. Factory dual exhaust and tips. They have to be angled down in order to clear the bumper.

So how did ya do the backup light cutouts in the bumper? I really like that!

I actually used those same lights on a jon boat I built. They are made by Nilight and you can get them pretty cheap on Amazon. Awesome lights. I assume he cut rectangular holes for them in the bumper since they are made to mount flush. Since they have flanges, you can get away with a semi-messy job. Can use whatever tool works.
