Just made a post in the engine forum specifically about a manifold question but the replies raised some other questions for me..
I just purchased a 2017 ram 1500 sport night 4x4 5.7 hemi with 3.92 gears and LSD through carvana with 15k miles- according to carfax it has a 1 owner history and it lived in ohio until it was sold to carvana in october this year. Nothing glaring at the carfax.
With carvana, I get a walkaround/brief test drive before I officially take the truck and then from then I have 7 days and 400 miles to decide if I want to keep the truck or else I can return it for a full refund. Over 400 miles is 1$ per mile penalty on the refund.
I already plan to take the truck to a dealer to have them give it a look over as I do not know any local mechanics who I would go to.
Aside from that:
What are some things I should look out for when picking up the truck and in the 1st 7 days?
Ive seen the parking brake cable mentioned, I know that the manifold can warp and cause a ticking. It is all coil spring (no air bags) according to the build sheet. Is there anything outside the obvious (water damage, rust etc) that I should be looking for when I inspect the truck?
Thanks
