Get a cheap set of aftermarket stock style headlights off eBay. They are much easier to open as they don't use permaseal. It's only the OEM and equivalent brands like TYC that use real good sealants like permaseal and they cost u more bc of the better quality. Since U don't care about quality I would get the cheap stuff. Spend $135 on morimoto 7.0 mini H1s and get a pair of H1 bulbs and reuse your current ultra HIDs. U should come out less than $300 for everything. If u wanted to save alittle more money cheap out and get the -30-40$ H1 mini projectors all over eBay. They are light years ahead of your stock headlight and I use them all the time and light output is decent. Nothing on par as the 6.0, 6.1 and 7.0 morimoto Mini H1s but still pretty good with sharp cut offs. I actually run them in my retro'd fogs on my 14 ram. I did my fogs for like $130 total. I already got the stuff to retro my stock projectors with FxRs.
The 14 and 15s need capacitors, resistors etc to work correctly. The 14s need 1 resistor per headlight and capacitor and the 15s need 2 resistors per headlight.
Don't waste your money on the ****** plug and play scorpion style headlights. They aren't even real HID projectors. Your ahead of the game with the $30 mini H1s off eBay over those.
So buy cheap replacements off eBay and open them up, keep your stockers if I want to return the truck or sell them to recoup your costs. I've been retro fitting for a long time so it would be wise to consider what I've stated.
Good luck!
