I'm rebuilding my engine. When I pulled the heads I noticed the pistons are stamped 03/044. Does this mean that it is already bored 30 over?

No these are not .030 pistons. You would actually see .030 stamped or engraved into the top.

If you are concerned about the bore size, get your hands on a dial bore indicator and measure the bores.

If a bore dial is unavailable, then you can use an outside caliper if you know how to operate it. It's not perfect but you can determine if it's standard bore or not.

Standard bore is 3.917

If it has been punched .030, your bore will measure 3.947

Hope this helps.
