Hey guys, tomorrow I'm plasti dipping my factory 20's. I've read about people doing it both ways but my question is do you guys paint the back inside of the wheels? I am just imagining if you don't it won't look right as you can see right in the holes of the wheels and see the backside which is aluminum colored, then again the nice factory finish doesn't go all the through to the backside and you basically just see a dirty rim if you look through the holes of the wheels, but I'm thinking the contrast isn't as much as if I paint the Wheels black. I hope that made sense... And lastly any tips? It seems straight forward enough

Thanks

I've been considering this as well. Let us know how it turns out. Take pictures!

I've done it both ways. I'd recommend putting at least 1-2 coats on the backside. 5-6 on the front.

I just finished watching a bunch of videos on plasti dipping and a lot of them just wrapped up the rotors etc to protect them from over spray and did it with the tires still on. My 2 cents? Just do that. I know a couple of people are going to suggest you remove the rims, tires and do the whole thing but don't bother. Nobody's even going to be able to see it and the over spray that gets on the rubber peels right off.

Done front and back when I did mine, cleaned the rim as I would when I washed the truck , the removed rim. Wiped with alcohol, deflated tire and stuck index cards between the bead and rim, done 5 or 6 coats on the front and 3 on the back so that it looked black all the way through. Hope this helps!
