Hey guy, new user here. I've got a 14 hemi 4.7, white with the chrome bumpers/grill . Have any of yall plastidipped yours either white or black? If so post pics still kind of on the fence with doing it. Same with the emblems, how difficult is it?

Thank you!

Bumpers wont hold as well, they will chip. No reason to be on the fence on the other stuff, any mistakes you just peel off.

5.7 right?
I saw a Tundra the other day that the owner had done a crappy job of dipping his chrome bumpers. It looked horrible. I believe he didn't do a good job of cleaning his bumper before he started spraying.

I also did the tail pipe contrary to what many say it doesn't hold up. I have to redo the front bumper with a quick coat once a year the bumper still looks good after twoish years.

I've been dipping stuff for years...from bumpers, grills, atv's to whole cars....just make sure the surface is clean and you apply at least 3-5 coats. Plasti-dip is a very good product. And if it does chip after a year or so, guess what? Spray a lil bit over it. Good luck!

I dipped my whole truck. There are so many horror stories about a really innovative product. If prepped properly and applied properly you can get plasti dip to match actual paint. As for durability I have had my whole truck dipped for a few days but have driven it alot and I have yet to see a single knick in it. I also will note I have nine coats between the base 5 coats and the top coat 4 coats.

Just make sure you use some pre-thinned dip. DYC has it. I self thinned and im afraid to peel it off. Im just going to go over it again with proper dip again and try to forget about it
