Hello all! The other day my engine light came on and i plugged in the i3 to scan and show the codes. It shows PCM: PO430 catalyst system efficiency below threshold. so i looked it up and says that either the catalytic converter needs to be replaced or there is a problem with the O2 sensors. Cant be the converter cause its brand new and came with headers which was installed under a month ago. So if its the O2 sensors, how do i go about checking if thats the issue? i know extension cables for the O2 sensors also came with the headers package that i got. Any advice?

Headers probably making O2 sensors throw code especially if they are long tubes.......will need to tune out or trick out O2 sensors.

Having long tubes with aftermarket cats is likely the issue. Most aftermarket cats flow higher than a factory one and will cause catalyst efficiency codes. Either get a fooler or tune out the rear sensors.
