Of those three, the red one. Never liked those bubble headlights on that series.

The red one is the one with the bubble headlights.

I meant the ones that bubble out, not down.

The last 2 kind of look bug-eyed to me.

Yeah, they do look a little bug-eyedish but at least the 06-08 don’t resemble the the 2nd-gens as much as the 02-05’s do.

4th gen with 5th gen interior would be the perfect combo. I had a new ram pull up next to me at a gas station. That touch screen is awesome looking.

Personally I think the 4th Gen body style is just about perfection. When they came out in 09 I fell in love with the look and told myself I was going to get one. They just look nice and have a muscular stance to them. The 5th Gens while nice looking IMO, just don't have that muscular look.

The interior while starting to become dated, is well laid out and well thought out.

I do like the 5th Gen interior better but not enough to give up the 4th Gen exterior.

My sentiments exactly. But I’ll never forget the first time I saw the new 09’s when they had one in that terminator show, the Sarah Conor Chronicles. Pretty much the only instant love to a new body style.

For me, I think the designers nailed it with the 4th gen. body style.

It is distinct, you can spot it from a distance, has smooth curves and lines, with just enough sharpness thrown in.

Not saying I would balk at a 5th gen, but IMO the look of the front is just "off". I like the idea of the badging on the hood, but feel it should be cleaner, simpler. Lost its distinct look. Maybe looks too busy for me.

Again, just MY opinion.

What says you?
Personally, I intentionally seeked out the 3rd Gen when I was buying for it's body style first and foremost. I love the way the headlights scoop into the bumper, I love the wide, bulging rear fenders, they're just so sexy not to mention the way the grill raises with the hood! Iconic styling that get better looking with age. The 3rd Gen is the year they nailed it perfectly! Sorta like the way Ford nailed the Mustang with the 69 Fastback, absolutely the best looking Mustang IMO.
The 4th and 5th gens look good, but they lost a little of the "muscularity" look when they changed IMO.
