So I decided last fall I was going to start detailing the truck myself. It’s still a bit cold out but warm enough to not use the car wash till next winter. So I got the itch on Sunday to go buy what I needed. I stopped by pep boys and picked up everything by Griots, buffer, pads, clay bar pad, solutions, tire shine, etc. Most items were discounted so at least I didn’t pay full retail autozone prices. Regardless, I spent seven hours taking my time applying claybar, polishing/sealing, and waxing. I took the pictures today as it was about to sprinkle before heading to work. I’m no pro but I’m definitely proud of the results for my first go at it. There’s a couple of small rain drops on the hood.

The color is brilliant black.
