Has anyone tried to fit the new power folding tow mirrors from a 2500 onto a 1500? I love the tow mirrors but it is a pain having to walk around to the other side to fold in the mirror. I know that there are after market versions but I would rather it be plug and play and not have to do any splicing.

Does your truck have power fold mirrors now? If not, you will need the switch, harness (maybe), the mirrors (of course) and a TIPM flash for them to work.

My situation was sorta the same. My 2500 had heated, auto dimming, power fold sport mirrors and I swapped in some heated, auto dimming, power fold tow mirrors. I did have to spend some time with the parts guy for the right sales codes to make sure the tow mirrors would work.

II don't have power folding now. I have the manual folding tow mirrors. Trying to figure out if the mounting is the same. If so then I would need the modules for each mirror and the door switch. Then would have to get it reflashed for the power fold mirrors.

Hell I might just trade in my 1500 and go for the 2500...... Would get more towing capacity.

So I road in my brother-in-law's F150 and let me tell you his power folding tow mirrors blow anything Ram has. With the push of a button he can go from normal mirrors to extended tow mirrors. With a touch of another button he can fold both mirrors in..... WTH is wrong with Ram? Why can't they give use these capabilities?
