Thank you for helping me connect with them. The service rep made it seem like its no big deal to “tear the engine down”. I get it, its their job but its a big deal to me not to have the truck and to let a service center I have no history with work on my truck like that. Also the lack of communication kills me.

I know your pain. Did they give you a loaner? If not ramcares can help with that cause of the bs grief they’ve given ya.

Dont feel bad mine had a new tranny in at 5k....its at 19k and going back again next week. ...its a beast off road....but between recalls, a seat replacement, roof light replacement, dome light doesnt work...one touch window on driver side doesnt work....yep it's a 17. Bought it new. 19750 miles to be exact....really disappointed but nothing to switch to that's comparable out there....as of right now.

Bought it new. 19750 miles to be exact....really disappointed but nothing to switch to that's comparable out there....as of right now.
wow that is a shame. i love my 17 without a doubt, kills me not to be driving it.

no loaner yet. i will need one in about a week though. I have a 8.5 x 20, about 8500 lbs. need to tow it soon so they will have to give me something. I told the service tech that, she kinda just looked at me like "well you aint towing it with this thing anytime soon". She must have told me three times there were other trucks in front of mine. This was the call I was waiting on last night. To find out how long it will be until they are able to look into the problem. call never came.

Youtube the 1 touch auto down issue. There is a simple button-press process to get it working again. I did it with mine once within in the last 10k miles and still working good.

Thanks for the info. I figure it's new enough things should just work....just a shame I guess I expected more from ram. I can say I have been disappointed on the issues its had.

**** breaks. New **** breaks. Shoot I’ve worked on brand new 33million dollar helicopters that break lol “and they break “A LOT”. I’m all good with stuff breaking. Now the shoddy ram service is another thing. But....I dunno if any brand that has superior service. They’re all after that almighty dollar

I agree. I understand things break. Working on military **** is different....remember it's the lowest bidder so I expect shoddy quality. When I purchase a vehicle I have expectations to drive at a minimum 30k trouble free miles. I dont think that's unreasonable. I understand defects and items from the factory that fail. I get it but at the same time it shouldn't be consistantly something every month. Either way it goes back in. I do think its poor craftsmanship as all car manufactors try to crank out vehicles. I too get poor service but it is just the game I suppose. They know they have us over a barrel and dont really care, they hear the same stories everyday I'm sure.

Yup. I think part of the problem is when somebody comes in with a complaint they figure “oh this guy knows nothing about his truck” which I’m sure is their for what 90% of owners. So over time I think they’ve become dismissive and that is what bothers me. “MOTHER ****** I’M TELLING YOU THE ******** DRIVELINE IS CLUNKING WHEN I TAKE OFF. NO ITS NOT THE GAS TANK ITS THE DRIVELINE” was one of my visits. It either goes one of two ways after I raise my voice like that. 1. Problem gets looked at and taken seriously or 2. They get service manager to come out and ask me nicely to leave lol

If they do give you a loaner. You cannot pull a trailer with it.

They lock the trailer tow out with the sales codes.

They might give ya a 1500 base but can’t tow with it. Ask me how I know.

Now its going to be 2 weeks before they can even get to the truck. I had to call again for the 4th time. Since the service rep could care leas about my case.

They don't have loaners and im out of luck is basically the response on the other end of the phone. Im pretty upset to be honest. I hope ram cares can help.

Im having the truck transfer to another dealer. I cant take the lack of respect and attitude of the reps at this place. I will be filing a complaint to the highest level i can about this dealership.

Thanks I wish it would of just worked from the factory. I dont drive it much so it will go to the shop.
