Good day brothers,
So I’m a long time Ram truck owner but a new Power Wagon owner. We just picked up a 2018 Power Wagon.
Nice! But I digress.
It did not come with a winch remote for the factory installed Warn.
Do I need to buy a Ram Factory Remote for $190. Or can I use a WARN 83665 Truck Winch Control for $90. The plug outlet on the truck looks round but the Warn 83665 looks round with a flat side.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Sorry I can’t answer your specific question as I am new to the power wagon myself but maybe look into the wireless remote setup. It might be a cheaper alternative to the wired setup. I know there are some out there but not sure which is best. I’m sure someone will comment or answer your question soon but figured I would throw that out there.

you can use the warn winch controller. The plug on the truck is round with a flat side.

Yes! For anyone else who might need a remote. On my 2018 Power Wagon,
The WARN 83665 on Amazon for $80 works perfectly.
Cheers!

I too like the WARN wireless remote. But I also carry extra batteries and the wired remote, just in case.

If you want to stay true to OE, buy the factory remote.

Go with a Warn wireless, OEM is just overpriced for what it is.

Ive had wireless winch remotes for years. Never had an issue. I do change my batteries every 2 years just to be safe.

The factory winch that came with my PW says Warn.
That's correct. In the accessory bag that comes with new delivery is a warn wired remote, at least for the GEN4. The OP indicated the factory-supplied remote is missing.
