Firestone destination mtz 35 12.5 20 with fuel strokes! What tire and wheel setup are you running on the gen4?
I picked up my new 2020 wagon earlier this week. I wanted a few of the creature comforts. But then found a truck with the 12" screen for $49k, and fell in love.
I love how she looks at me when I take a look out of my office window at work[emoji12]
Now just gotta start going back through the oil thread to find the oil filter And redline oil combo that everyone is using.
Because this thing ticks LOUD!

Yeah level 1 group. I looked at the build sheet from the Chrysler vin search. And the thing was like 7 pages long. So it must have so.e ok ther features. I just haven't noticed em yet cuz I've been enjoying the drive so much! LolAwesome Truck! And the best color IMO (since it’s the one I got lol) And a great price! Is it a level 1 PW equipment group with the 12” screen? Any other options? No noises that concern me out of mine. I do need to to a break in oil change soon though.

the red line oil with the Royal Purple filter is was you will find for the tick. Ask @Burla there is 72 page tread on just oil. Good luck.
Hahah thanks Burla.OH Lee has been around, this is just he newest Ram, he's an old sol round here.
Lee redline 5w30 and RP 20-820 is the stuff. Filter thread is worth a read, some other filters have also looked good if you can't find RP. So you bought a new hemi and it ticked from day 1? I think before I went to redline and/or lubegard biotech, I think I'd get the dealer to at least deny a fix and keep a copy, would be unsolicited friendly advice. Something this new, you have lemon law rights, and nearly all states require a paper trail for success, so I would want that truck in as soon as you can just to memorize it in case you end up with the warranty denial game for some fail lifters at some point. Enjoy the truck, just prepare in case.
That is a badass truck.
Will do Sir! I was thinking once I get to 1,000 miles. I will get rid of the factory stuff. If it is lifters, update the thread in my sig whether redline works or doesn't. Trying to keep a good running total on the true % that this lubrication strategy works or doesn't work. So far, seams to be working for most people who try it.
Oh, and we're talking the 6.4l. So I should be running a 0W40 i believe.OH Lee has been around, this is just he newest Ram, he's an old sol round here.

Also RP website shows 10-48 for the filter. Dont think they make a bigger version. Or is that what the 20-820 is?
You're a good man. Thank you for not making me track back through that massive thread. The 10-48 is just the smaller version, most guys opt for the 20-820.
So the forum work on the 6.4 hemi tick obviously has been a little less then the 5.7, but we still have some good info as far as redline. The 5w40 redline is the preferred redline for top success rate, however if you are in snow state or area this may be some piston slap in the coldest periods, but it is one of those things, imo it is something you address IF if get the slap, the most important symptom is killing the hemi tick, piston slap is close to harmless. Two guys U@A and Tjelsimo (spelling) have had hemi tick with the 6.4, if you have question you know where you can find them, the dreading syn thread. They both tried many things.
Also, the 0w40 FCA recommends (PUP) has a viscosity at 13+ but in the engine spends most of it's life as a 5w30 due to quick shear. We know this for fact by uoa's, and we also know 5w30 redline doesn't shear hardly at all and hardly ever. So bottom line, the 5w30 redline would be "thicker" in use then the 0w40 srt oil. We also know 5w30 redline is a very special formula at combating tick, and will be thinner than your 40 weights in cold periods. Bottom line, if it were me, I wouldn't discount 5w30 redline with the 6.4, keep it for consideration.
There is a specific reason why manu's use 0w40 and not 5w30 or 5w40 or thicker. Because they want a 30 weight oil in use but they don't want the regulations that the 30 weight oils carry. We know this because virtually all 0w40 OTC oils are made on the thin side. they literally want this feature, if not they would have recommended and built 40 weight oils on the thicker side, but they didnt.
Thank you for not making me track back through that massive thread.
