Installed some Spyder red smoke LED tail lights today. Really happy with the fit and finish of these lights. Even with the smoke housings the light output still matches the color of the stock 3rd brake light.

Contrast between the stock housing and the new LED

Honestly the pics do not do them justice. They are every bit as bright as the stockers.

Those look good on there. Might have to get me a pair. I looked over a year ago for tail lights and couldn't find any I cared for, but I don't remember seeing these.

Thanks man!! Yeah, not sure if they are new releases or what but I really like them. They look really close to the Sport LEDs that come in the new trucks but are plug and play for our trucks. Now I wish they offered a matching 3rd brake light.

I would need that. My OCD would go nuts if the 3rd brake light didn't match, lol.

You could always try spraying a couple light coats of nite shades. Should be a pretty close match. Truck looks great by the way!

I've thought about that. It would be cheaper that's for sure.

They do have smoke film vinyl for that as well. Can probably find it on ebay for less then $5 if you want to try. Nice thing is you can just pull it off if you're not happy with it.

Thanks! Yeah, so much better than the LEDs I had in my stock quads. They should come from the factory like this!

I haven't done much to the truck lately and all these pics of LED light bars got me itching to do something pointless. I didn't think I needed more light since doing the projector retrofit so this was done on a budget. $50 for the light bar, wiring and hardware & a few hours later....

Some steel angle

Overall, pretty impressed with the light output considering it was only $30 on Amazon.

I missed a lot, lol.

Headlights look badass man!!

What did the steps run you? I could use those.

Not sure what LED strip you went with, but if it give you problems, look into OPT7 LED's. That's what my 22" (maybe 20", can't remember) and it's super bright, all LED's still work, and no fogging whatsoever!!

Truck is lookin' sweet! :waytogo:

Thanks Dave!! It's been fun having some truck projects to work on. :naughty:

The bed step was around $150 Worth every penny. I wish I had gotten one a long time ago.

The lightbar is Sharen. $30 on Amazon. I've had the same brand LED pods mounted under the back bumper since the spring and they are holding up great. I will look into the OPT7 if it gives me any trouble. :favorites13:
