Powertrain Malfunction Indicator Light

I received an email from RAM service yesterday with an alert saying my powertrain malfunction indicator light had been triggered. There is no light or message on in the truck and it drives normally. Has anyone else gotten this? Could the email have been sent erroneously?

I've gotten a few on my 2018 Ram 2500 Diesel. Another today. I went in on the last one, three weeks ago which was a day after getting the truck back from when they pulled my engine to replace the timing chain cover seal that was leaking oil. A week later it was back in for a stuck thermostat. They couldn't find anything on the computer that would have triggered the alert??? I haven't seen anything on the actual dash indicating a problem.

I have been getting those emails since the beginning of the year ... I wouldn't take my truck in for that bs email, in my honest opinion, this is how they get you to take your truck in and they mess with it and then you really have a messed up truck .. I don't trust the dealerships at all ... fawkem !!!

I got one. My truck has been in the paint shop since Nov 8th, never moved so how can I suddenly get a check engine light/drivetrain fault on a 2,500 mls truck that hasn’t MOVED for nearly a month????????

So today got another alert, monthly health report update ( every month during the trial period) and guess what?????
NO suggested actions, no malfunction light.
I pick my truck up tomorrow so i will physically see if on or not! F$&@ing technology!
Remember, truck is in body shop, STILL not moved so how come it’s now out! Lol

If they actually repainted your truck ... they might of disconnected something, moved it and thus it caused the alerts .... I wouldn't worry about those alerts though ...

I got an email alert today on 2017 Ram. No indicator light in the dash.
