The light is only for the upper glove box if you decide to add it. The cubby comes out and is replaced by a bin that has a hole in it for the light to be installed.

The footwell lighting is also prewired. As well as the Glove box lamp if you don't already have it.

Just have to get the lights.

Is that top glove box or bottom ? and footwell- that's just one on each side right?

Not sure on the glove box , but YES the footwell is just one per side , a small two wire connector on each side .

I know of only ONE individual that was prewired for the backup cam . It was a member here ( cptwing ) I believe he has a 2500 tradesmen . He is the original poster ( OP ) For the oem back up cam install thread . I'll post the link here .

Installing OEM backup cam




Basically , to tell if you are prewired for the backup cam , if I remember correctly is to locate the connector for your tailgate LOCK , if you have 2ea wires going forward , then NO .
If you have 8ea wires going fwd then YES you are .

That's correct. You need to look at where the harness that comes from the tailgate plugs into the body harness. If there's only two wires on the body side, it's lock only.

Installing OEM backup cam

Basically, to tell if you are prewired for the backup cam , if I remember correctly is to locate the connector for your tailgate LOCK (Mpg Edit: i550 Connector) , if you have 2ea wires going forward , then NO .
If you have 8ea wires going fwd then YES you are .

I have a friend that just bought a Longhorn 1500 with the LED bed lights. My 2500 Tradesman has the mounting holes, anybody know if the wiring for these is already in the main harness?
