1 word for ya...SICK!! That's great to know. The original dash looks just like what I have in my 2015, so it's nice to know I can upgrade it.

You can now do everything when you install a cluster in your truck with AlfaOBD. Program hours and odometer. Don’t have to have anyone do it or guess at what mileage you will be at

See below posts

I have received a few people asking how to program Lifetime drive and idle hours. I made a walk through to help people out. I will quote this post with the walkthrough.

@Big daddys house. You should do a video for programming the idle and engine hours if you can sir!

How to program Idle/Drive hours on premium 7” EVIC

Connect to your instrument panel and click the car with the hood open

Click on the drop down menu
Click on program custom features towards the bottom of the list

You will see a second drop down menu. Click on it and you will see your two options for programming your Lifetime idle and Lofetime engine hours

Your Lifetime Engine hours is the TOTAL hours your truck has been on. So you need to add your Drive and idle hours from your old EVIC together.

Example
Idle hours on old EVIC - 350
Drive hours on old EVIC - 605
Your Lifetime engine hours would be 955.

That is what you enter in the Total engine hours box Show in the pic below
8deb841b7ccb4525652ace3380a1861f.jpg

Next click the second drop down menu and select Lifetime Idle hours

This is where you just enter your exact Idle hours on your old evic

After this your evic will calculate your Drive hours itself. So you don’t have to do anything else

Disconnect and close AlfaOBD like normal

About what is a good price for the 7" cluster? Have found several all running just under $400 and I will need to set hours and milage.

I got mine for $300 which is a hell of a deal. Also. If you have Alfa you can program everything yourself. Before it cost about $150 to send it out for programming.

$400 is around normal. Just make sure you get the right year. 14+ for anything 14-18. If it’s a 13 the cluster won’t read the TPMS. Just do a PN search on google and you should get a good idea of what year it is. Don’t believe the seller.

I bought mine from cluster doctor/surgeon on ebay as well, great guy to deal with, I had a minor issue, he was very helpfull and we cleared it up with a phone call.
Calculated my expected mileage till the delivery day and installed it myself, so easy and best upgrade I've done to my Express, you see it all day every day when driving.

Looking for a 7" Diesel cluster but have not had much luck other then some priced above $700, wasnt able to find clustersurgeon on ebay anywhere but it did email him .

Also wanted to confirm that a 2017 EVIC would work on my 2015 ? from what i have read they are all the same , even if i end up with a longhorn it shouldnt really matter?
thanks

Have you tried http://www.car-part.com/? It can take a lot of legwork looking at all the junkyards, but I paid $215 shipped for mine. And there's some risk that it might be inop. But if you already have AlfaOBD, you won't have to spend another $100 or so to send it out to have the miles and hours changed.

Yea I have looked on there , best price I can find is $525 for a 2017 , a bit much but diesel is harder to find . Biggest question is will it work on my 2015 ?
Also found a 2014 for $450

Wow! It's pretty sparse right now. When I found mine, there were pages and pages of hits. I did find these 2015s for less.

upload_2020-1-15_10-10-6.png

IIRC, there are 3 things to look for in a cluster, and you already have the gas/diesel figured out. The other two are the TPMS and startup splash graphic. They changed the TPMS frequency, I think, in 2014 so you shouldn't look for a cluster any older than that. The startup graphic, if that is important to you, was pretty limited prior to 2016. There are more graphics available beginning with the 2016 models.

I am not sure if 2019 or later clusters are compatible unless maybe the Classics. I seem to remember something about a different connector for the 5th gens.

Good luck!
