Electrics have the advantage of upkeep. Keeping good fuel, filters, oil and such sucks. As well going deaf an hour into cleaning and smelling of gas also sucks. I have had a couple electrics which have been great. Do not get one on Ebay, get it local and somewhere that will be in business in 4-5 years. Electrics do have a drawback in some cases. One of which is pressure, they are not nearly as powerful as a gas, but in almost all cases you wont need paint stripping power of a gas.

This is the one I was referring to above .
It's available @ the Home Depot with a 10% Military discount and an in store return for 30 days !

This I like because I'll purchase it on a Friday and use the hell out of it all weekend ....if it breaks or doesn't perform as I need I'll just take it back .

The reviews on this machine is better than any other I've found , there are poor reviews of course , but overall the best I've seen .

    Things I don't like :

    non brass pump

    Only 25' hose

    Air up tires

I'm pretty sure the Dewalt-branded machine is a Simpson. They are nearly identical.

    Well , I probably won't be purchasing for a few more weeks , so I haven't decided yet .
I do want to pick it up locally though for the convenience of a return if needed.

I'm also looking at less than $400 so my options are limited .

Right now the Simpson 3100 psi with the Honda Motor is my front runner ( I linked it above ) .. it's at the Home Depot in Bristol Va , I live in Bristol Tn so I can literally drive across the tracks and save 5% in sales tax and then get the 10% Military discount
I may just rent one for a weekend as a pressure washer for me would likely be a 1-3 times a year thing .

I have a giant house that I'm preparing for sale , so I have 2 -3 days of hard pressure washing to do with the house 2 stories , 30 x 26 shop , aprox 500sq ' rear deck , front porch that runs the length of the house and sidewalks and pavers.

I'm still working on the interior of the house , my schedule has been delayed a bit .
I'm still on point with the Simpson from the Home Depot , I'll be making a decision to purchase or rent one in a few weeks .

Anyone have a recommendation on a pressure washer , or stories good or bad on pressure washers you've had in the past or own currently?

    Thanks for any comments !
