I'm looking at buying a used 2017 Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4x4 5.7 Hemi, and wondered if the price looks reasonable. Here are the options:

MSRP $50,235

Options:
Premium Cloth Buckets $295
Big Horn Package 26S $2,700
Heated Seats and Wheel Group $545
Trailer Tow Mirror and Brake Control Group $460
3.92 Rear Axle $90
Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle $435
UConnect 8.4 Nav $795
Spray-in Bedliner $495

Carfax 1 owner. No accidents, Very Clean condition. 11,000 miles. Black/Diesel Gray.

Did notice two recalls not completed, tailgate and park sense.

$29,500.

Thoughts?

I would shoot for $27k and give them no more than $28k. You shouldn't have to fight too hard for that, but
make sure they give you at least close to what your trade in is actually worth at trade in value.....

No trade, so I'm good there - sold it myself. I've only owned Ford trucks in the past, so I have no experience with used Ram values, they seem awfully low vs. MSRP just a few years later. Must be HUGE rebates when new and fairly stout depreciation.

Yeah, don't remind us!

Seriously, sounds like a good deal if you're under $28K or so like stated earlier...pics?

Sorry, I saw it while making a weekend out of town run last weekend. There was no price on it, so I called today to go check it out tomorrow. No pics on the dealer website either, just a stock image.

good price, i bought a 14 hemi big horn 4x4 quad cab for 28k back in 15 so your crew cab being 1k more is about right imo for 1 year old.

Average trade in is around $28K so I'd be thinking anything under that would be good .

Like others have said, I'd try to talk 'em down to $27k, go no higher than $28k - 11k miles is practically cherry, and just barely broke-in. Go over it with a fine-toothed comb, though.

Note that if the dealership selling it isn't an FCA franchise, or doesn't have one nearby, you might be able to talk them down even further since they may not know what they have, and since they're relying on the "Big Horn" badge to pump the price. (I promise, its worth it to try.)

If it helps, this was mine when I was looking... (hope it doesn't eat too much space, but the only diff between mine and the one you're looking at is the engine (I got a V6, not a Hemi), 8k extra miles, and the lack of backup camera on mine). Anything else difference-wise is negligible.

(they honestly had no idea what they had, so I was able to knock off even
a little more from an already killer price. :) )

HTH a little...

Every region is different and I live in Cali but here's a reference.
My 17 bighorn with 10.5k miles in june of 17 was listed at 25.5k. Out the door price after finance ******** was 28,875.
Yours has more options;
392 gears and limited slip
Tow mirrors and trailer brakes
Heated seats
If you can get them to 27-28 thats a good buy IMO

I pick up my 2017 1500 SLT V6 quad cab 2wd 6.4 bed. It is a rental vehicle from Enterprise.
I paid $22 plus tax / license $24,9 out the door. Back in April. It only had 18 thousand.
I say work them as hard as you can on the price.

Sounds like a pretty decent deal and miles are good. For comparison, I bought a brand new 2017 Laramie CC 4x4 in April. Pretty well loaded out with 3.92, anti-spin, trailer brake controller, spray in bedliner, Alpine, 8.4, heated/ventilated leather, sunroof for $40K

Good deal IMO. I got my 2017 in December with 11k for 30k and it did not have the heated seated. That’s the only difference between yours and mine.

I got to to dealership Saturday morning prepared to haggle away and get it down to the sub $28k range. Alas, as I drove onto the lot, I saw it go out for a test drive. They came back and bought it for $28,750. I appreciate all of the great advice. Back to the drawing board.

Man, that sucks...

I lucked out, but I did have a 2nd (and a tentative 3rd) truck on my list of things to go see and test-drive the day I bought mine. Never hurts to have backup :)
