if you get $7.5-8k off a $43.5k sticker than you are right in the ball park of a good price.

Here's a tip, you are shopping at the worst time of the month...... You couldn't pick a worse time.

Wait 3 weeks, when there are about 2-3 days left in the month and go back. You will get your $8k+ off the truck, unless your dealers are so tiny that they dont really make money on their monthly sales goals. If they are medium to big sized dealers, the last couple days of the month are the days that you get the best deals. They want their sales goals met and will easily make no money or lose a few bucks on the sale of your truck just to get their big fat $10, 20, 30k+ check from chrysler.

Thats how i did it......at the middle of the month, I was $2k off my price and i called back two days before the end of the months, spoke to their internet sales manager ( bc i was annoyed that my salesman wouldnt budge on the price anymore ) and asked how bad they wanted to sell a $52K truck to me because my salesman wasnt meeting my pricing needs, amongst some other issues i had with him. They asked me to come back in, got me a new salesman, they upped my trade by $1000 ( got full bluebook on my trade ) and took another $750 off my truck ( $10k off sticker of a $52K sport ).......and threw in the $400 class IV hitch that for some reason wasnt ordered from the factory. On Long Island NY, thats a solid price. I probably could have gotten a little more off, but it was the only truck within 250 miles that had the 6'4 bed on a crew cab, color and all the options i wanted. I was quite happy based on what others said they paid in my area.

Just for reference, I had a small local dealer that i tried to give the sale to ( i wanted to have them go get this truck on a swap and sell it to me ) and they couldnt get with $2k either. Salesman told me that if I got $10k off and $22k on my trade, to go buy it from them bc he couldnt get remotely close. They must not live off of the chrysler sales goal and need to make money on each vehicle no matter what.

also......dont worry about the OTD........everybodies OTD is different based on the state they live. Worry about the dollars off sticker and dont let them slip in any BS dealer prep fees or document fees.

10k off in ny is definitely good in my opinion. In Idaho or Texas it might be a different story. I played stupid and told them to throw in the goose neck hitch to get me going. My sticker was 52 and some change and I got 42500. One of the salesman was saying I got a really good price and couldn't believe it too. This was after the sale too. That's when u know u did good

smithhaven chrysler dodge. My buddy runs their lot ( been there 10 years ), but had nothing to do with the deal i got......even the salesman he hooked me up with ( said he was the only one there he would trust ) was a typical grimy car salesman. My buddy said they deal i got was a great one and that it paid off waiting till the end of the month. He was surprised they tossed in the trailer hitch to seal the deal.....but he was even more surpeised i got blue book value for my silverado !! He said they never get that close to blue book. Either way, it pays to wait till the last minute and be a tough customer.

Paid 25000 even for mine 2014 QC 4x4 SLT. and with all the discounts i think it was 17500 off the price of the truck. and i had it built for me. All the boys in the family went and bought trucks before the old man retired from WAP

When I get into work in the morning I'll see if I can pull up the invoices for both of those trucks. I'm gonna say the big horn invoice will be around $39k and the laramie will probably be around $43k.

As far as rebates go, every situation is gonna be different based on which ones you qualify for and which truck you're looking at. For example, a big horn crew cab with 5'7" bed could have a standard $1500 rebate vs one with the 6'4" bed which may have a $2500 rebate; and then you add on whatever rebates you personally qualify for. A lot of dealers out there will show a price of the truck and then mark it down by $6000, but the majority of that $6,000 is rebates most people won't qualify for all together(lease trade in, competitor trade in, chrysler capital financing, FFA, military, etc).

I know at the dealership I work for, we are selling everything at invoice minus applicable rebates. Last night I had a guy looking at a approx $40k MSRP lone star crew cab 5'7" bed 4x2 and after rebates he was at $35,980+tt&l; and his rebates were only the standard ones(no military, lease trade in, etc). Then on an outdoorsman with a sticker of $45k, I wanna say invoice was about $42k.

Your figure is closer to mine, I had remembered incorrectly on my Laramie. Sticker was $46,700, invoice was $42,700. Got it for $40,700 and $5k in rebates. Sales manager was in disbelief on the rebates. One for owning current Dodge.
