I went to get gas a minute ago and set the nozzle to fill it up automatically. Next thing I know, the fkn gas is comin out all over the ground. I have 1/2 tank of gas. So I sit there and keep tryin it, keeps comin out the top. So I'm thinkin it's just that pump. Nope, at the next station it does the same thing....

I had to sit there and go slow as hell puttin gas in it. I was watchin the gas goin in, and it keeps foaming and fizzling up to the top of the tank if too much gas goes in at once.... so I had to keep stopping.

What in the world is the problem here? It's never done this before....

vent hose could either be loose allowing the air pressure to escape somewhere else or it could be pinched. from what I've been reading, the vapor recovery systems in these trucks are suspect.

Where is the vent tube at? It's already hard enough to squeeze under my truck lol

Well... I mean I know of a few people that would prolly think about doin that but I wouldnt think they would honestly go thru with it.... But hell I could be wrong.... Why... If they did put somethin down in it, what could it be?? Sugar?

I mean, I just got gas last week, like on Wed or Thurs and it was fine and dandy......

i'd be surprised if something was in there, with a number of instances about this happening with 3rd gen rams, i'd be more inclined to think it has to do with the venting.

I honestly don't know.... if its not the vent....something is keeping the gas from flowing down into the tank.

Nah, I drive my truck everyday to work.... ok, anyone know where the vent tube is at so I can check it out? I have to squeeze under my truck to even see the tank

If I'm thinking of the right thing, it should be real close to the top on the left side. Should see a little hole there, and that should be it

reason i asked is because i rented a new silverado that was overfilled then sat in a hot parking lot, the gas expanded and screwed up the venting system in the tank, took me 20mins to put $10 in gas in the damn thing. the tubes arent easy to get to, might be better off looking for the black vapor canister, the vent lines are attached to that

I think if it was just once, there could have been something stuck in the screen in the fill hose or even a positive pressure holding the gas in front of the screen. If it happens from here on out it could be a vent problem
