Hope maybe one of you Trinity gurus can help me out. I bought this T1000 from another forum member for my 2011 RCSB 5.7. First, It will not tune into my truck. It says that it is backing up stock file and installing tune, but I feel no difference. I went in and made a few changes to tune like changing idle and shift points to make sure that it was working and retuned truck. Still, idle same and stock shift points. Also, the monitoring setup will not read correctly. I set up a new log and it still seems it is just running a "demo" type setup and not actually reading anything (engine speed just starts at 0 and runs up through 140+ while sitting still. 0-60 racing timer will not read correct speed either. I thought these had a 93 tune, but mine only has 87 and 91? Hopefully, someone here can help me to get this thing working properly. As of right now, it is just a paperweight with pretty lights, lol. Thank you any help greatly appreciated!!

I keep hearing when you update to pull the file from your PC? Problem is, my PC has no file. Would it be in the DSDownloader file? I dont remember offhand what folder it opens automatically to look, but there is no file there.

Realized it was in DEMO mode! DOH!!! Working better now. Can anyone tell me if the Diablosport canned tunes include trans tuning or not? I am going to run with my Sonnax, for firmer shifting, if not, but don't want to overload the TB if so. Please advise if you have any info. Thanks!

Oops! Glad you figured it out.

Yes the canned tunes include trans tuning (excluding the new 8spd, you are fine on your truck).

Slap that baby on there and let's what you think! :)

Yeah, I did more searching and found out that it seems I can run the Sonnax and the Diablo tune together so going to give her a try. Wonder if I should put the battery or not to help in relearning or of it will just do it by itself? Guess I wil try leaving battery on and try it out first. If it doesnt seem to do anything after a few days of driving, then I will try a reset. Ill keep you advised David!

The many times I loaded tunes (diablo, hemifever, bullydog), I never disco the battery, but it wouldn't hurt. It does seem to take a day or two for the tune to come alive, though.

have played with mine for months.
2011 crew cab 1500 Laramie 4x4
have had it!
no transmission adjustments,just shift rpm's.
have run the 93 and 91 octane tunes.
only thing I can say for sure is that I can remove the speed limiter!
I get no noticeable difference anywhere except gas mileage!!!!
I do seem to pick up .5-.75 mpg with the tune.
Volant CAI is only mod on the truck.
full throttle from dead stop with the tune installed is horrible.
torque control seems worse than with stock tune.
also feels like you are pushing in a clutch when it shifts.
will not spin tires unless wet.
actually feels like it picks up acceleration and power if I let off the throttle 1/4-1/2 inch !!!!
adjusted throttle up the max at 20% with no noticeable difference.
lag time from depressing pedal to the floor till something happens is pathetic.
tuner has latest updates but I see no difference.
have gone back to stock tune and will probably sell the tuner.

I am having the same issue as SNAKEBIT.

I am wondering if it is worth the extra money for the custom tune, or if I should sell mine. I don't want to flush more money down the drain.

Whiteram, is the Hemifever tune super special enough to warrant the price?

Thanks

Got the tuner set up on 91 Diablosport tune and the gain is not mind-blowing, but is noticable. Throttle control is much better and more crisp over stock. Went back and installed the Sonnax. It took all of one minute or less to install. I then took the truck for a 4 mile circuit with light pedal and let it struggle through shifts while it relearned. I have big, heavy, 305 50 20s on heavy chrome rims and the tires really grip unlike the stock GY and the first time I gave it the power it got loose on the 1-2 shift and chirped 2-3. I am impressed with the power and very impressed with the Sonnax. For ease of install, price, and immediate results, the Sonnax is my best mod as of yet and I would recommend one to everyone. I bought the LB2 (stage2) and they can be had on Ebay for $41.50. Cheap mod, less than 1 minute to install, and noticable and immediate results. It is a definate win win in my book. As for the people with tuners not working correctly, if the correct tune is loaded, and correctly loaded, into your truck and it is making the truck slower, there has to be some other issue with your truck. I just don't see a tuner making a truck slower any other way. If it did, no one would buy one. I would spend a little more and get with Sean at Hemifever or with White Lightning and let them download what is going on and let them remedy it. I am sure that the data log will show some sort of issue and that it can be resolved. This is just my experience, so far, with the Diablosport 91 tune off of my Trinity and the Sonnax line booster making great, firmer, quicker, and earlier shifts. I am happy with the Devil Dog for now.
