My 2014 Truck came with a rubberized plastic trim at the bottom of the windshield.
For the heat over here it breaks and come apart.
I just got a replacement from a salvage yard is rather good condition, but I’m worried about it have the same fate as my old one.

Our temperatures exceed 45.C in Summer.

Any ideas on preventing/ protecting it?
I thought about covering with bed liner spray. Does that work?

I live in south Florida and see the same issue. My thought was to use some epoxy paint on the new one ,it should provide some uv protection.

I will look into marine grade , that should be some of the best stuff to hold up to the sun.
