Hey guys,

I'm not bashing pedal commander and I currently have it on my ram (for now). I've had it about 2 years without any issues but recently its been throwing codes and putting my ram into limp mode which is a bit of a safety Hazzard especially if your moving in traffic.

So I wanted to share screenshots of the codes and issues I am having. Knowledge is why we are all here in the first place so here are the codes.

Not sure if permanent means its always gonna show but my program was able to clear it.

I love mine and after a year it started accelerating on it's own. I sent it back to them and they diagnosed it and no problems since. Call their customer service but I would unhook it for now. Good luck

Usual questions: have you changed settings while driving, or used ECO mode? Those two things that usually result in CEL codes. You are probably already aware of that.
I have had mine for over a year and so far so good.

3 yrs no problems and do codes clear when you remove it. As NOV87 asked have you changed it on the fly? That will throw into a CEL and code up but even then after turning off and resetting by unplugging and plugging back in it should clear. My Brother learned that on the first day, do not change settings while in motion.

Same here also been in little over a year and no problems, Like said don't change the mode unless you're at stop, also when you start up your truck it goes through a test mode by the lights scrolling for a short time I wouldn't just start it up and go in warm and cold Temp.

Would have to be an issue with the unit itself. A loose contact or a pin inside. I would inspect the connector too. Make sure it's still plugged in tight, since it's been two years. Not sure if you live up North, there's always a chance you can carry snow/ mud on your shoes right to that area, that would raise humidity and corrode contacts. Just a few ideas.

I've had multiple problems with throwing my truck into limp mode while on the highway. I figured it's not a matter of if, but when does it put me in a life & death situation. It's not worth puting myself in that again so it's disconnected. A waste of money as far as I'm concerned.

Hi there @Mbrigh3, we are sorry for the trouble that you've faced with this accessory. As the Customer Care Team, we do not recommend altering your vehicle outside of factory specifications. However, if you are seeking assistance with your aftermarket adjustments, we recommend contacting your dealer if needed.

I'll add to my earlier post in that I've never used any of the "minus" settings, don't know if that causes the "circuit low input" code.

This happened to me as well. Going to work one day and all of a sudden, limp mode. Took if off and sold it.

I tried both with mixed results. I wear work boots year round, so that's my pedal masher. - Sold by Ronco!
