Not horrible in a car. With a RV, make sure you know your exits and look at sat maps for what lanes split, end, or exit unexpectedly or with little notice.

I go through Nashville 4 to 5 times a year, 65 is not traffic friendly anymore like when I grew up there, biggest issue is road conditions, more potholes and patches than I care to admit and traffic well its definitely east coast, Start stop , 0 then 90, then zero again during certain times of the day.

I'd plan my timing where I avoid 6 to 9am , and 3 to 7pm.

If I had to go during those times, I'd remember I'm towing, have a good idea of where I'm going and plan ahead.

Be steady, and leave room to stop

It's one of the worst stretches of I-65, like it has been subjected to a heavy mortar attack, and that's the norm. They resurfaced the whole thing not terribly long ago, but it didn't stay nice long.

That's funny, I plan to travel through Nashville around that time also. I'll be traveling west to east on I-40, then maybe north on I-65

WE pulled our RV thru Nashville in 2016, and found it a bit tricky to get U-turned into the Two Rivers RV Park. Once we figured that out…. we found that particular park very nice.

If you plan to go to the Opry you might prefer the Grand Ol’ Opry RV Park.
(I believe we saw Roy Clark’s very last performance there. He was very frail and led out in a wheelchair….and when he got settled…..he was still able to make that guitar PERFORM like a Rock-star! )

Roads aren’t in the best condition…but no worse than Louisiana, IMO.

Thanks for all the comments! I came through there in October and I took about 2hrs or so to get through. Was just wondering if there was any better way around or to avoid but looks like not. Going from Biloxi, Ms to Toledo Ohio. Was thinking I59 to I 75 but don’t look much better. Thanks all

Like Big....... said take 59 out of Birmingham. It looks to be 38 minutes longer, but by skipping the Nashville and Louisville traffic, may turn out to be faster. I hate the I65 traffic coming from the south. From Franklin to Goodlettsville can be 5mph bumper to bumper. Chattanooga can get backed up, but it not very far through the city. Knoxville and Lexington are usually easy to go through. Have fun.

Gotta be better than I-45 through Houston/Galveston/Conroe. Except in Houston rush hour traffic is between 6AM and 10:30 PM, when there is construction closings.

The only thing I've heard about driving through there is making sure you have country music playing on the radio.

I live here and travel 65 every day. Do NOT travel during rush hours which start at 5am. Stay in your lane unless you absolutely have to change. Make sure your are 100% confident how to use your tow mirrors. Stay at a constant speed of 65 to 70, weather permitting. The cops around here have no speed or traffic law enforcement so you have to have your head on a swivel. It is not unusual to see drivers going faster than 120mph. Good luck.

Is there still a lot of construction going on, I know it’s a mess there now and winter time. Have gone through several times years ago and no real issues but October was bad.
Thanks

In Nashville now for a concert. They've patched the worst of it, but the patches are often below grade. It's not going to knock your teeth out, but it's not smooth.
