.Someone posted awhile back and I cant find the post on how to pull trouble codes.
Was it insrt key
Turn to ACC then start 3x without starting the engine, or was from off go to start 3 times

I cant remember

Just to read / clear a majority of codes, one would just need a cheapo amazon OBD2 dongle code reader and an app on your phone.
Everyone should have at least this if they do any work on their vehicle so they use it instead of a parts cannon.

I bought an Actron CP9690 Elite AutoScanner because it does OBD1 and II. My 95 Corvette is OBD1 and was a great investment. It is no longer in production but you can see one pop up on Ebay from time to time.

Scanners that are OBDII will probably be found often at a reasonable price.
