Question about xm and AlphaObd.

My 13 Ram was a Hawaii build with xm and cell card deleted. My truck came with a 8.4A radio which has option of nav to be enabled. I bought a 8.4AN radio from a 2015, works fine in my 13, nav works great even though I have no physical antenna on top of truck(Puck or fin) so there's a GPS antenna hidden somewhere inside truck. I bought a fakra splitter and added a sirius Xm antenna under dash. Under settings shows subscriptions and all 3 show subscribed. But all I get is like 5 crap sirius channels, like a demo. I am thinking maybe since truck had the xm deleat maybe if I added the code it would give me sirius. I tried resetting signal, nothing happened. Does AlphaObd allow you to add a sirius xm sales code to truck, or do you think it would make a difference? Sirius traffic works perfect and the one with gas prices, movies, sports etc.

Why did you add a splitter? SXM and GPS is one connector and one puck on the roof. If you are getting anything SXM that means it’s working,now you need to buy a subscription or transfer an existing one.

My truck is a special Hawaii model. I don't have a puck or sharkfin, nothing except the radio antenna and somewhere inside there is a hidden GPS(has the GPS fakra) . Even my 8.4a radio did not have a siriusxm connector but it did have a GPS one and was upgradable. Radio has no cellular module also. Is a odd radio, only 3 fakra connectors on back, never seen one like this before(I still have it) but bought a 8.4AN off ebay about a year ago from a 2015 Ram to have GPS and HD radio. Just is odd my radio shows subscribed to everything and everything works except any sirius music channels. That's why was asking about adding a sales code, my truck options show siriusxm deleat from factory and uconnect deleat. Ram actually has a dumbed down version of a normal 8..4a radio specific to vehicles ordered with no xm and uconnect, odd they would do that. Good thing is no 911 message comes up for those adding it to a non 8. 4 truck

That wouldn’t be part of Alfa. Be nice if it was. When I bought mine used it had the sxm subscription. Then I took it in to get the recall done and it disappeared after that. Mine still says subscribed but I get no channels.

I assumed the dealer uploaded me as the new owner and it cross checked to see I was not subscribed myself.
