ill look into it. the engine has never given me problems minus the tranny. and its only got like 140-150,000 on the engine if i remember right. regular oil changes full synthetic mobil1 so i dont think anything will come up bad???

i guess that is ment to be both good and bad? oh is there a good way around having tranny issues in the future? i want to do a swap and put a manual in it but idk how much work that would be. because the automatic in it now has already been rebuilt and i hear that they go alot in these trucks

It can be. lol Mostly bad, but sometimes they'll surprise you and not be a ***** like normal.


As for the trans, make sure the cooler line check valve is removed, put a bigger cooler in it and keep up with the fluid and filter changes. That is a good start. Anything else you're looking at doing some light internal work.

if i get new rockers and lifters are they just bolt on and go? i can price stuff out for future. i plan on getting a new cold air intake also after i do everything to it. maybe redo the exhaust as it is starting to fall apart. its basicallly wide open just past the cats. a hole rusted in the side of the pipe. haha. sounds sweet tho

First off buy a k&n drop in filter for the stock intake. Stock one is CAI. Good time to upgrade the exhaust

Sure about that? Because the difference that K&n made you wouldn't have been able to feel

CAIs are useless unless you build a custom bumper ram air system. The power you likely heard was just better throttle response and the lovely sucking sound the CAIs make.

Idk. the sound difference was noticeable. It got quieter after I went back stock. Than again the truck was running rough and I did swap out the rotor, cap, and wires at the same time. Maybe that's where I gained the power back from

need new plastics and anyone know where i can get a nice fog light kit for the truck? gunna paint the plastics black. the little white car is my daily vehicle. i still need to swap in a new core support and see if that also pulls my passenger side quarter panel back into shape or if i need to stretch the frame some for that. id love to do the axle swap under it as i need to redo the axle seals anyways. but thats all gotta wait. also my rear suspension is tight as all hell... i think its got 5 leafs on it. idk if thats more than need be. or if my shocks are just that old as it was previously owned. bumper sits out farther with the new bumper mounts. than again it was in an accident before. anyone know of a hood like this with real scoops?
