quick bumper question

Hi all, ive been creeping the forum for a while now and i've learned lots of great things already.
I have a 2015 ram sxt, so plastic top and chrome bottom for the front bumper, looking to color match the truck. A local guy is selling a black steel bottom but its for a 2009-2012 ram. So question is will this one bolt up directly to my plastic top.

I dont think that will work. In 2013 they changed the shape of the grille and it cuts into the bumper differently than the 2009-2012.

Swapping a steel bumper for a plastic one? Or just swapping out the bottom "chrome" part?

It sounds like he's just talking about swapping the bottom chrome part.

Pictures would help, but I think it may work for a two piece bumper.

This is not my truck but on its the same one, and I'm looking to replace the lower portion which is chrome, with the bumper in the other picture

Looking closer at those pictures myself i can see it wont work, the shape on top is different.
