My creative bug bit me today so I ordered a decal I want to put on the fuse lid. I dont want it to peel off, so I was thinking of spraying some clear coat over it to seal it. Will this work? Thanks.....

Modern clear coats and coat just about anything. I'm saying saying you should, but you certainly can. Have you worked with CC before? Do you have a spray gun?

I've used it on small projects here and there. I don't have a spray gun, I was going to use arousal paint.

The only thing I use can clear on is rocks to make them look wet. There is one brand that uses a hardener that you smash in the bottom of the can, and then shake to mix. But most of all the other sprays have no hardeners in them, because if there was a hardener in there it would harden in the can. Without a hardener you have a super thin film that is hard to deal with and wont offer much of any protection as far as stopping the decal from peeling, plus more then likely will be real shiny. I bet a body shop would clear coat it on fairly cheap if you insisted on doing it. Its nothing for them to just spray that after doing whatever car they had on deck.
