I have my 2014 Longhorn in for service and they just called and said I needed a new cabin air filter...but I was under the impression that my ‘14 didn’t come with one !!!

Are they trying to upsale me on something that doesn’t exist ???

I had to add the cabin air filter when I had my 2014 Express. I think the Longhorn models did come with cabin air filters.

Tell them you don’t want a new one. Stop by your local auto parts, pick one up and install yourself. I installed a CAF in my 2014 Laramie, it did not have one from the factory. My 2018 Laramie had one already. I replaced it the day after we got the truck along with a new engine air filter. Both are very easy to replace.

I had no idea my express has no cabin air filter...why would they not put one in?

Just being absolutely cheap and saving some money. It's very ridiculous, had to add it to my 11 and 13 sports, my 17 longhorn finally had one from the factory.

Even at cost for people like us I believe the filter is less than $10. For them it's probably pennies comparatively but that's one area where they decided to save money on many trucks for many years.
