I just bought RA4 from here

http://www.ramforum.com/f21/complete_ra4_upgrade_kit-85558/.

Everything went well, all controls and radio works but I am having darnedest time connecting my Nexus 6p via bluetooth. Sometimes it will see "uconnect" and sometimes it wont. when I hit to connect it says it failed to communicate to uconnect. I tried my son's iphone, and it connected, keep disconnecting, but finally i was able to make a call. I keep messing with my nexus and killed that profile on RA4 for iphone. later I tried to reconnect with iphone and no dice. I did put latest firmware and it made no difference.

Try this if you haven't already...

Delete the BT devices from both the phone and the radio. Power cycle the radio and the phone (pull phone battery).

Then try re-pairing. This worked for RLK recently.

yep I saw the samsung when I went to pair.

So I did factory reset, which by the way is scary showing SRT screen. The GPS showed me in San antonio, some 900 miles away, and no FM/AM channels. Anyways letting it set overnight, it went back to normal.

However, still no pairing with phone. I cant remove battery, it is nexus non removable. however I did turn it off and back on. No dice.

A google search on your phone showed numerous connectivity issues for the Nexus 6p, namely vehicle pairing. Have you tried any other phones? I'm surprised the Iphone wouldn't work again after the first time. Have you tried it again since restarting the unit?

This may help:

How to fix Nexus 6P Bluetooth issues:
1.Tun on the Nexus smartphone
2.Go to home screen and select the app icon
3.Then select on the settings icon
4.Browse for the Application Manager
5.Display All Tabs by swiping either right or left
6.Select on Bluetooth
7.Select to stop it forcefully.
8.Now clear the cache
9.Select clear the Bluetooth data
10.Select Ok
11.Finally restart the Nexus smartphone

Worth a shot, I never had bluetooth issues with nexus and the VP2 worked perfectly. I will try and report back.

didnt seem to work, I wiped my cache on phone, wiped bluetooth cache. Nothing. Starting to think bluetooth is going bad on radio. I going to get some kids tablets and see if I can connect. I have a couple of android tablets around. If it doesnt work will rule out my phone.

if it is the bluetooth on phone is that a repairable/replaceable part. My guess is not, but you guys may know definitively.

so here are the steps I have done

1) upgraded firmware
2) factory reset (which is ******* scary when it seems like you lose everything)
3) wiped phone cache
4) wiped phone bluetooth cache

i plan on disconnecting the battery overnight, just in case. I will try with various tablets/phones.

Leave it cleared out for a day without connecting anything to give it a few power cycles in the truck and/or try a different phone (vs tablet).

Any update Sir ?

Sorry busy weekend. Anyways, had Friend in it yesterday and the Iphone 6s plus could see the connection but would always fail when connecting. Heavily leaning on it being a head unit issue. I have a friend with a samsung S7, and next time he is over, will have him try.
