I just did a coolant flush on my 2011 ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi.
115k miles, went with the Zerex G05 coolant and distilled water.
Replaced the thermostat and the radiator cap while I was at it.
I noticed the radiator cap that was on the truck was 16lbs and the radiator cap I got at the part store was 18 lbs.
I got online and searched all the other part stores radiator caps to see if any of them had a 16lb cap in stock for my truck and all of them sell 18 lb caps.
So is it ok to run an 18lb cap instead of a 16lb cap?
Or should I order a 16lb cap online and return the 18lb cap?

I’d go to a Ram dealer with the VIN and buy the correct cap.
