Radio not turning off-only muting

Daughters 2020 Wrangler does the same. Turn off radio, kill display. My 2014 Ram is no turn off also...

That's a poor response.

Why don't you just look it up and confirm for him if it is supposed to turn off radio and screen or if it is supposed to merely mute the sound?

Seems like that would be easy for you to do and save him a trip to the dealer. Knowing the answer would also help this thread a lot.
