Radio not working

I have a 2010 Ram 1500 slt. I just upgraded from the standard head unit to the touch screen head unit. When I start the truck with it plugged in the new radio will display the dodge logo then go black and won't turn on no matter what I try. I've seen a few threads that state to unhook the battery for a few minutes and then hook it back up but that did not work what other options is there to try? TIA

What vehicle is the head unit out of? They make two versions, a low speed bus and high speed bus and they are not interchangeable.
