RAM 3500 Limited LED Headlight Question (Steering Directed Headlights)

So, I haven't really seen this posted anywhere and I am more or less curious. So the RAM LED headlights rotate when turning. If you swapped out your headlights to something 3rd party, do you loose that feature? Or is the entire housing that the lights mount into move?

I have seen guys online doing this that have the Steering Directed Headlights and have wondered if they are loosing that feature when they swap them.

Yes, you loose that feature. The projectors inside of the headlight pivot. The projectors move 30 degrees side to side. The housing stays put. If you are talking about the Morimoto XB headlights for the HD trucks, they do not have that feature.

My questions is, why would anyone be replacing these.....the OEM LED projectors for the HD Longhorn/Limited are awesome headlights.

So... reading this just piqued my curiosity. Will the 2500 Laramie headlights fit in a Laramie 1500 of the same year? Curious if you can retrofit the "pivoting projectors" in a 1500 with projectors...? AlphaOBD settings? Harnesses or re-pin connectors?

The HD headlights are completely different than the 1500 headlights.
