Well, i got lightly hit in a parking lot. I need to replace my passenger side filler panel part no. 68403910AE.
I see companies that sell these primed, or can purchase the OEM style for a reasonable price. However i'll have to get it color matched and cleared. Who knows how much that will cost. Then i saw companies that sell them already color matched/painted. But they are like 4-500 dollars. Sounds excessive.
Just curious, anyone have any online resources to salvage yards that can find me a like new used one in white? We only have one salvage yard in my town and they don't have any 5th gen Rams.
On a side note, anyone ever do the install on these filler panels. Best i can tell, it has three screws along the fender then i'm assuming the front just pushes in? I haven't found any videos on it. Not certain if the headlight or grill has to be removed or if it is really simple and the front pushes into clips. I'll research this more if anyone doesn't know.
I'm waiting for insurance claim on proceed before i consider the body shop route. I got the lady's info that hit my "parked" vehicle and filed a claim. It was in a parking lot so not sure if that matters or not for getting her insurance to pay for it. If i could find the like new already white filler panel, i'm assuming i could just pocket the check and do it myself. (never been through this crap before).
