Need to start by saying this is not for my RAM but everyone here seems pretty knowledgable so I figured I would ask.
2011 G37 awd sedan. In the last week I:
Changed front sway bar end links, test drove OK (issue was originally a knocking noise when going over bumps). Note: not sure if I went 70mph+ (this will be useful for the later part)
Changed rear diff fluid, test drove OK. Note: not sure if I went 70mph+ (this will be useful for the later part)
Changed front diff fluid, test drive revealed a vibration at 70mph or higher.
Feel it in steering wheel only (not seats, pedals, etc).
Feels like going over rumble strips....higher/faster frequency than a wheel/tire out of balance. When it starts happening, it "comes and goes". Like you feel it, then you dont, then you do, etc.
Happens regardless of throttle position (0, full, doesnt matter once its over 70 mph).
Was originally running my winter wheels....just in case of a balance issue I swapped to summer wheels. Still has same vibration.
2 weird things to note just in case:
1. the front of the car was up on race ramps for a few days (started to do the front diff then ran out of time).
2. I have not reinstalled the plastic under engine trays.
Not sure if either of those would make any difference but figured Id throw it out there.
Thanks in advance.
