I sure hate to report these numbers but Chevrolet out sold Ram in the first quarter of 2020 in truck sales Chevrolet 143,698-----Ram 128,805. What happened to Ram's sales momentum is a good question. Any thoughts out there among our members...........

HD RAM sales were impacted in the last quarter due to sales/shipment stoppage on the 68rfe transmission recalls.

Maybe it's because they offer the 6.2L with 10 speed in the 2020 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss, Custom Trail Boss and RST now, not just on the high end LTZ or High Country trims.

Imagine if Ram offered the 6.4 in the 1500's.

I'd imagine they would need to bump the 6.4 up a good bit. Not much difference in the numbers currently to the 5.7....unless I am missing something?

I just don't understand the increase in Chevrolet sales UNLESS they were giving them away. The Chevrolet trucks are butt uck ugly and their interiors are cheap and plastic. There absolutely is no comparison in looks and amenities . What gives........

Guess it depends on what your definition of "not much" is

People realized they could buy the same Ram truck used for 10s of thousands cheaper in the 4th Gen. They're not blind to the exterior/interior changes that only materialistic people waste money on.

That being said, the 5.7 Hemi and ZF8HP is still the pinnacle of the market for durability AND performance.

I can't stand Chevy/GM products, but to me Silverado and Sierra are the same truck. There must be parts of the country that are loaded with Chevy/GMC, because where I live I see far more Fords, Rams and Tundras than new chevys.

At least Ram is still up from last year, that's a good sign.

Ram definitely need to do something with the 6.4. Both Ford and Chevy offer much more powerful V-8’s

I’m looking to move up to a 3/4 ton. It’s probably going to be a ford 7.3. I like the Rams interior better but not the lack of power.

if I HAD to buy a GM, it'd have to be the 6.2, now way the 5.3

Now the 1500 with a 6.4.....:angels2:
