Hard to tell what happened without seeing the damage to the other car.
May be a double tap; front end impact followed by side tap? Airbags deployed on the RAM. Interesting the RAM stayed on road and other car went into the field. RAM frame is definitely pushed around to the right side--see the buckle in front of the right door in the salvage yard photos.
