I looked at some YouTube videos of the broken exhaust stud ticking and mine isnt even close, so unless its just started, Im thinking mine isnt that.
When the iron manifold starts to warp initially it stretches the bolts .010" - .015" and very small gaps open up causing faint ticking leaks , eventually the bolts break and the gaps get larger and in turn the ticking gets much worse .
Not sure if this is your case but it may be .

Yeah I kinda figured maybe it would start off "quiet" then get worse.

Ill keep an ear on it. MaxCare lifetime FTW, I guess. It doesnt look like the engine is pinging (STKR always reads 0, knock sensor voltages seem to be in check) so it could just be a noisy engine solved with RL or something exhaust related. Ill just keep mentioning it to the dealer every time I go.

I tried the somewhat less expensive route of swapping 2 quarts 5W-30 PUP for 2 quarts 0W-40 SRT oil. Will see if it makes any change and re-evaluate from there.

Another tid bit to add to this and maybe ease or calm some nerves.....

Was leaving the gym the other morning and heard a later model charger with the hemi start up and idle....only to hear the same hollow knocking noise .... so far the 5th hemi I’ve heard...

As is the case with my truck this charger was very nicely maintained so I can only imagine he driver had the same concerns as us... and it sounded like a beast as it pulled away....

Hope this helps ease the mind
