Hey there. I have a 2021 Warlock that I am going to be modding in the near future. To start I am going to be upgrading to 35 inch tires and some new rims. I am super new to off roading but would like to get some better suspension to go off road compared to the stock suspension. I don't need it to be a top of the line system as I will probably only be doing "true off roading" a few times a year. As far as I know my Warlock does not have the off road package and is not lifted 1" like many say. Ideally I would like to lift the truck about 4 inches in the front and around 2-2.5 inches in the rear to level it out and achieve the desired look I am going for.
The problem that I have ran into is that most of the 4 inch lift kits I have found either incorporate the use of the stock shocks or 5100s. I am not trying to spend thousands on suspension and most likely don't want to spend more than 2.5k for a decent setup. Is the only way to achieve a ride that isn't absolute crap off road to just go with a leveling kit? It seems like most people are saying that a lift kit will never ride great off road. It seems like the best way to get good suspension is to go with kits like Bilstein 5160 and 6112s, the Carli commuter kit(if it will fit), or the cst leveling kits.
In an ideal world I would like to gain a 4 inch lift for the stance I am going for while still having good off road performance without breaking the bank. Would it be possible to buy a 4 inch lift such as a BDS or Readylift or Rough Country and then swap out the struts and coilovers for better ones or is that just a waste of money?
Lastly, is the Warlock suspension design different from a normal 1500? Like I mentioned before, I am 90 percent sure mine does not have the off road suspension package. As long as I get a kit for a 2018 Ram should it fit fine as the Warlock is technically a 4th gen?
Sorry for the amount of questions lol. Haven't been able to find any info about this elsewhere. Thanks!

You can download the Ram app or make a account on mopar.com it will give you the options that came in yours to know if you have the off road package. My 21 does and it came with 17" wheels maybe that will help you. I have kept mine stock with the off road package and have no issues going off road. Goodluck In your decision I know its not a easy one to make

Your warlock has the 1” lift, all warlocks do. Your rear springs are about an inch taller and the front struts are preloaded for the extra 1”, this picture shows the warlock/outdoorsman/orp strut on the left and a standard strut on the right.IMG_8367.jpeg

The Carli commuter kit is off the shelf Fox 2.0s with a hefty markup. I’d stay away from anything Carli for a 1/2 ton, HD trucks they’re good at but 1/2 tons they have a poor reputation. Carli/cjc remove the negative reviews and feedback for there products so you don’t hear about the many bad experiences people have had.

As your finding there are a lot more suspension options in the 2.5” leveling range, you know you can fit 35s with a level right. It’s going to be a lot easier to keep things affordable with a level as opposed to a bracket lift.

If you do a level over 2”, make sure you use angle correcting upper control arms like JBA or Zone.

That makes a lot of sense. I figured that it seems much more worth it to just spend the money on nicer suspension that will level the truck at the same time instead of spending the same amount of money on a lift kit that might look cooler but will likely perform worse and wear components out faster. I have heard the Eibach kits for the 1500's are pretty good and provide a good amount of lift for a leveling kit.
